JourneyCare Foundation is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation. Donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Please consult with your tax professional, attorney, financial advisor, or trust officer for the personal benefit of your contribution and make a gift today. Donations can be made in memory or in honor of a loved one.
Cash, Check or Credit Card
Write a check made payable to JourneyCare Foundation and mail to 405 Lake Zurich Road, Barrington, IL 60010 or 2050 Claire Court, Glenview, IL 60025. Checks mailed to JourneyCare must be postmarked by December 31 to qualify as a charitable gift in that year.
Gifts of Appreciated Stock
Gifts of stock held for more than one year with increased value can make a tax-savvy charitable gift. We are here to help you smoothly and easily make a transfer. Read more about the benefits of giving appreciated assets. For assistance making your gift, please contact Christine Post-Duncan.
Gifts of Real Estate
By donating real estate, you may find that you will receive substantial tax savings. Please check with your advisors and contact Christine Post-Duncan for more information.
Gifts from Your IRA
A Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from your IRA is a wonderful way to support JourneyCare and receive key tax benefits. A QCD allows taxpayers over age 70½ to donate to charities directly from their IRA, which would allow you to avoid federal income tax on this money while supporting the work of JourneyCare. Learn how to make a QCD.

Gifts Through Your Will or Estate
People who make planned gifts through their wills or estates come from all walks of life, all age groups and all income levels. Some people making a planned gift choose to make the gift during their lifetime, while others choose to make the gift once they have passed away. Either way, gift planning plays an important role in ensuring that JourneyCare can always say yes to our patients and fulfill our commitment of never turning anyone away, regardless of their ability to pay for hospice, palliative or supportive services.
If you are involved with a private or family foundation and would like to make a gift, or if you know of foundation or grant application that might fund one of our programs, contact Julie Blanford.
Business and Corporate Sponsorship, Volunteer Opportunities and Matching Gifts
For gifts from businesses and corporations, including employee matching gift programs, please contact Molly Conley for more information.
Host an Event
Independent fundraising or third-party events are developed and run by non-JourneyCare staff in support of JourneyCare programs. We welcome individuals, families, schools, businesses, and civic organizations to host events, which can range from bake sales and school-sponsored drives to golf outings and 5K races. Contact Molly Conley to discuss your plans.
We accept donations of goods and/or services to use in silent auctions, as raffle prizes at our events or as something that might be useful to our general operations such as “positivity packages” — toys and activities for our patients and families with younger children. Contact Molly Conley to learn more.
Volunteer Your Time
Volunteer to be part of an event committee, walk in a parade to promote JourneyCare, participate in soliciting in-kind donations for raffle prizes, make sponsorship calls or help with administrative tasks in the office.
