JourneyCare will play an important role in a beloved Chicago tradition as 93.9 LITE FM switches from playing “the best variety from the ’80s, ’90s and now” to broadcasting around-the-clock holiday and Christmas music through the new year.
JourneyCare has partnered with 93.9 LITE FM – along with its sister iHeart Radio stations 102.7 FM Chicago (V103) and Inspiration 1390 AM – to bring awareness to JourneyCare’s mission to care for adults and children living with serious illness throughout the Chicago region.
As listeners tune in to their favorite holiday sounds, they will also hear messages that teach them how JourneyCare delivers outstanding care to patients in 10 Illinois counties; song dedications and on-air kudos to JourneyCare employees, donors and community; and learn details of special events JourneyCare and iHeart Radio will host together this season.
“JourneyCare is thrilled to team with 93.9 and iHeart Radio this holiday season to share our message of expert, compassionate care to listeners throughout the Chicago region,” JourneyCare Foundation President Joseph Matty said. “Our nonprofit agency helps all patients in need, regardless of their ability to pay thanks to the support of our generous donors, and we want ensure that everyone who needs JourneyCare can access our services.”
JourneyCare is also teaming with iHeart Radio this holiday season to connect with listeners online, with 24-hour takeovers of 939litefm.com, v103.com and inspiration1390.com on Nov. 19-20; Nov. 26-27; Dec. 10 and Dec. 10.
On both radio and online platforms, listeners will hear inspirational stories about how JourneyCare touched the lives of patients, including Michelle and John, a young couple who came to JourneyCare as Michelle battled cancer. John says, “The team at JourneyCare provided care and support, so I could be a husband and not just a caregiver.”
