It’s Volunteer Appreciation Week and we’re honoring those who give their time and talents to JourneyCare patients, their families and our mission. Volunteers play a crucial role in helping ensure that our patients and families receive the expert and compassionate care they need.
In 2018, JourneyCare volunteers worked a total of 41,686.2 hours and saved the organization $1,042,155. They give their time in many departments throughout the organization, including administration, patient care, finance, facilities, learning and development, compliance, the foundation, bereavement, community outreach and palliative care. Our Volunteers provide special services for our patients such as pet therapy dogs, miniature horses, flower repurposing, art therapy, massage, sewing, knitting and crocheting.
